Effective motivation and fair remuneration

X5 has a fair and transparent remuneration and motivation system in place that uses grades/bands to tie individual performance to Company-wide targets. X5 monitors the labour market and benchmark salary levels for each position, implementing the very best incentive and remuneration practices.

The average monthly salary of operational staff is RUB 35,000. All payments and benefits are provided in accordance with the Russian Labour Code. The social support of our staff includes financial aid, discounts in our stores and on partner goods and services , and – for certain groups – annual flu vaccinations, mobile communications, and life and health insurance, including coverage for accidents and illness.

Offices

X5 constantly improves its office spaces based on modern trends and employee feedback.

Indicators

X5 developed a new approach to KPIs that will enable it to increase the involvement of employees in achieving corporate targets and to share in the success of implementing them.

Recreation area

As part of an updated concept for Pyaterochka and Perekrestok stores, we changed the way we arrange and design staff break areas. Staff rooms have become more spacious, better equipped, and more comfortable.

Salary

Remuneration systems were revised for personnel at Pyaterochka and Perekrestok, as well as for X5 drivers. Motivation systems focused on productivity growth were simplified and made easier for staff to understand.

Remote work

X5 launched a Home Office project that enables employees to mix office and remote work. It seeks to offer more flexible work arrangements to employees and improve their work-life balance and engagement level.
