Tikhiy Dom

X5 provides regular assistance to the So-edinenie (Connection) Support Fund for the deaf-blind people. Since January 2017, the Company has been supplying food to assisted living facilities for the deaf-blind on a weekly basis. The project covers two such facilities called Tikhiy Dom.

Shop for everyone

Pyaterochka together with the Everland inclusive project, presented the reference manual Shop for Everyone: a practical guide to inclusive Retail Transformation.

The document combines and systematizes the experience of the retail in implementing an inclusive strategy and is aimed at maximizing the social impact in the field of creating equal opportunities. The manual consists of three sections: "Accessibility of services", "Inclusive hiring" and "Social Programs". It includes up-to-date answers to the most common questions faced by everyone who starts developing an accessible environment in their company: from the departments of sustainable development and human resources management to marketing and operational management. The manual will be useful not only for retail companies, but also for those brands that are already actively implementing projects in the field of inclusion or are just planning to implement them.

Digital accessibility

Accessibility of websites

In 2024, X5 focused on adapting digital products and services for all categories of customers. Thus, Perekrestok received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the set of rules "Accessibility of websites and applications for people with disabilities". This certificate was issued based on the results of several stages of accessibility verification.

X5 ID

In August 2024, X5 updated X5 ID. Now the questionnaire for new users contains questions about special needs, for example, the user can note the following: "I move around in a wheelchair", "I communicate in Russian sign language", "I communicate in correspondence" and other important features. Such information will help the company to adapt services and personalize offers to the special needs of customers, making them accessible to all.

Accessibility of services

In March 2025, X5 launched a course on digital accessibility of services for employees. This will help the company's IT specialists to develop and adapt all digital products in terms of inclusivity, which means making them as accessible and convenient as possible for all categories of users.
